Unhappiest Day of the Year
As I enter my place of work every day, I’m met with the wonderful aromas of incense, fragrance oils and scented candles – and it usually puts a smile on my face. But yesterday, I just couldn’t get going. Yes it was a Monday, but not just any Monday – apparently it was the unhappiest day of the year – great!
According to reports by absence management specialist FirstCare, almost 25% of workers are expected to miss a day at the office by phoning in sick on ‘Blue Monday’. Why? Well with Christmas bills coming in, coughs, colds and New Year’s Resolutions all but forgotten… is it any wonder we’ve got sagging spirits.
So what’s the good news? Today isn’t going to be as miserable as it could be!
Right, I’m off to sniff some legal substances in the company warehouse.
