Don’t Tell My Wife – I Love My New Fuji Roubaix RC 2009

I know this is a business blog, and this is purely personal – but I completely fell in love all over again last weekend. On Saturday I went in to those delightful fellows at Evans Cycles, and picked up my gleaming new Fuji Roubaix RC 2009.

The Fuji is everything I expected it to be and more. Yes, I’ve already fallen off through not being proficient on the clip-less pedals – but that just made me respect it more.

After riding out on the road for six months on a Giant Escape hybrid bike, for commuting and pure fun, I badly needed to up my game  and invest in a proper road bike. If you’re a cyclist you’ll probably understand the huge difference when switching mounts to a very light, beautifully engineered racing bike from a fairly hefty hybrid mountain bike.

If you’re not a cyclist… then you should start – the health benefits are truly amazing!

So who do I love most – my wife or my Fuji? My wife of course… She said I could buy it!

Anyway… back to work…

P.S. The ultimate thanks, for my now obsessional interest in cycling, goes to Mark Johnson (from my Toyota days). I’ve finally seen the light boss!
