Scented Candles – Fragrance Your Home
Posted December 31st, 2008 by AdrianAs the New Year approaches I reflect on the year that is almost over, and consider what lies ahead. But hey, it’s also a time for partying!
So if you’re expecting guests to help you bring in the New Year at your home, why not set the scene by lighting some scented candles in your favourite fragrance. Creating some wonderful aromas to fill your rooms before guests arrive can create a great atmosphere and enhance your home. After all, we definitely want to make a good impression for guests and lighting a beautiful scented candle can create a lovely smell before they start to arrive.
Here are some ideas for spreading fragrances around your home before the party-goers arrive:
- Light a large sized scented candle in your hallway to spread the fragrance and maximum effect
- Put a few drops of fragrance oil onto the scented candles to generate a powerful aroma
- Place lots of potpourri in rooms where guests are likely to congregate like in the kitchen
- Create fresher smelling carpets by adding drops of essential oil to your carpet spray then vacuum up
- Been cooking? Eliminate household odours and add a few drops of Cinnamon or Vanilla Oil to a simmering pan of water
- Place small oil burners around the home with scented oil then light scented votive candles for a stronger smell
- Use fragrance diffusers for safety when guests start to arrive to keep rooms smelling fresh
There are many more ways to freshen up your home but for safety, make sure that all scented candles are put out before any people arrive. That’s why fragrance diffusers are useful for when people are around your home because there’s no immediate danger of a naked flame.
Now, the party scene is set – make sure you have enough bubbly!
