Garden Candles – The Perfect Outdoor Range
Posted June 15th, 2009 by AdrianAlthough I’m not crazy on gardening, this weekend I got myself down to my local superstore and loaded my shopping basket/truck up with some beautiful garden plants, pots, and some shiny round garden orbs (they don’t do anything – they just look… er… shiny). Oh, I also got a brand new barbecue with loads of shelves and cooking gadgets – yes, it was a ‘boys toy’. However, bugs drive me mad and I noticed that there weren’t any decent garden candles…
Adding a selection of quality garden candles to your outdoor space, whatever its size, can create the perfect Alfresco experience whether you’re simply relaxing or inviting friends round for a party. Whatever the time of year, but especially in the summer months, having some garden candles on display can help you keep away the pesky bugs during the day and create some lovely lighting effects in the evening.
Garden Candles – The Secret Insect Weapon
Now we all love honey bees and butterflies but when you’re planning a barbecue or eating alfresco using large garden candles that contain Citronella really does help to keep the nasty insects (mosquitoes, wasps) at bay. Citronella is a well-known non-toxic repellent to unwanted garden bugs and is used safely in many commercial mosquito and bug repellent sprays. Now of course you don’t want to be using sprays anywhere near barbecues so grab your candles and be prepared.
Here is a great selection of ‘Alfresco’ Garden Candles:
Go on, get a few candles in now and set your citronella garden candles to work on those dreaded wasps.
